Veterinary Nurse Manager – Fur Life Vet Merimbula

Salary

$65,000 - $68,000 per year

Required Qualification

(i) Minimum 4 years of clinical experience (Veterinary Technician, Cert IV, or equivalent)

(ii) Proficiency in various veterinary nursing tasks such as dental procedures, anesthesia, X-rays, IV catheter placement, pathology, and critical care

(iii)Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills

(iv) Experience with digital X-ray, IDEXX Catalyst, ProCyte Dx, Sedivue, and endoscope setup

(v) Previous experience in a senior or head nurse role, ideally with management or business insight

Duties and Responsibilities

(i) Supervise and mentor a team of 10 nurses across three clinics

(ii) Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to the nursing team

(iii) Perform general nursing tasks, including pre- and post-operative care, emergency and critical care, and animal pathology

(iv) Manage clinic operations, including staff scheduling and roster changes

(v) Availability for after-hours issues such as staff shortages or urgent clinic needs

(vi) Assist with administrative tasks and daily workflow management in the hospital

(vii) Foster a positive team environment and handle client complaints professionally
