Trainee Human Resources (HR) Officer

Salary

$687.10 to $803.30 per week, plus 11.5% superannuation, with potential for performance-based salary increases during the two-year traineeship.

Required Qualification

(i) Completion of Year 12 Higher School Certificate or equivalent.

(ii) Strong interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources.

(iii) High level of initiative, integrity, and ability to maintain confidentiality.

(iv) Intermediate to advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

(v) Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

(vi) Willingness to complete a Certificate IV in Human Resources Management through a combination of on-the-job and off-the-job training.

Duties and Responsibilities

(i) Support the Organisational Development team in various HR functions, including performance development, employee and business relations, learning and development, recruitment, onboarding, and Work, Health & Safety.

(ii) Assist in planning and organizing materials and tools needed to deliver HR services to City employees.

(iii) Contribute to promoting a positive and safe workplace culture.

(iv) Participate in projects and tasks that provide hands-on experience in all aspects of Human Resources.

(v) Learn and grow in a fast-paced environment, with mentorship from experienced HR professionals.
