Teacher – Engineering and Automotive

Salary

Casual Rate: $108.10 per hour (as per TAFE Queensland Educators’ Certified Agreement 2023)

Required Qualifications

(i) Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116)

(ii) Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) plus additional units TAELLN411 and TAEASS502

(iii) Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (TAE50111 or TAE50116)

(iv) Diploma of Training Design and Development (TAE50211 or TAE50216)

(v) Higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland)

(vi) A Certificate III (minimum) or an equivalent formal vocational qualification in the relevant trade

Duties and Responsibilities

(i) Deliver high-quality education and training in Engineering and Automotive programs.

(ii) Guide and mentor students to develop industry-relevant skills.

(iii) Design and implement innovative teaching methods to enhance learning outcomes.

(iv) Stay updated with industry trends to ensure training remains relevant and effective.

(v) Engage with a diverse student community and stakeholders to create a dynamic learning environment.

(vi) Contribute to curriculum development and program improvement.

(vii) Support student career progression by providing practical insights and professional guidance.
