Senior Research Radiochemist
Salary
$113,377.67 to $127,112.24
Required Qualification
(i) Extensive experience in radiochemistry, particularly in the manufacture of radiotracers, radiopharmaceuticals, and investigational medicinal products.
(ii) Knowledge of cyclotron operations and maintenance is preferred.
(iii) Familiarity with cleanroom and laboratory equipment calibration in compliance with international standards (PIC/s, ISO).
(iv) Expertise in quality control techniques such as radio-HPLC, TLC, and gamma spectrometry.
(v) Ability to develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), validation protocols, and batch manufacturing records.
Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Support the Cyclotron and Radiochemistry Facility Manager in maintaining cleanroom compliance and equipment calibration.
(ii) Oversee and manage Pharmaceutical Quality System (PQS) documentation.
(iii) Assist in expanding the availability of radiochemicals, radiopharmaceuticals, and investigational medicinal products for clinical and preclinical research.
(iv) Develop radiolabelling and quality control (QC) strategies using manual and automated techniques.
(v)Participate in the manufacturing and quality control of radiopharmaceuticals for internal and external use.
(vi) Operate the Cyclone 18 Twin cyclotron for radioisotope production.
(vii) Obtain and maintain Dangerous Goods Shipper certification for handling and shipping Class 7 radioactive materials.
(viii) Engage in radiochemistry safety meetings and other assigned responsibilities.
