Senior Communications Officer
Salary
$90,000 - $105,000 per annum, plus superannuation.
Required Qualifications
(i) Proven experience in a communications role, preferably in the not-for-profit or community sector.
(ii) Strong written and verbal communication skills.
(iii) Proficiency in managing social media platforms and creating engaging digital content.
(iv) In-depth understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, with a commitment to their social and emotional wellbeing.
(v) Collaborative skills with excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
(vi) Tertiary qualifications in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field are desirable.
Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Strategic Communications
(ii) Design and implement communication strategies aligned with organizational goals.
(iii) Lead impactful campaigns to advocate for initiatives and boost national awareness.
(iv) Content Creation
(vi) Develop engaging content for digital and print platforms, including social media, newsletters, and reports.
(vii) Maintain consistent tone and messaging that reflects the organization's mission.
(viii) Stakeholder Engagement
(ix) Build relationships with key stakeholders, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, government agencies, and media outlets.
(x) Ensure culturally sensitive and engaging communication across all platforms.
