Scholarship Host

The Schwarzman Scholars program, founded by Stephen A. Schwarzman, is hosted at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. It aims to foster a global community of future leaders with an understanding of China’s role in the 21st century.

Eligibility Criteria

(i) Applicants must have completed an undergraduate degree before enrolling in the program.

(ii) They should demonstrate strong leadership skills, academic excellence, and a willingness to embrace diverse perspectives. English proficiency is required.

(iii) The age range for applicants is 18 to 28, and candidates are selected from across the globe.

Benefits

(i) The program offers a fully-funded one-year Master’s degree in Global Affairs at Tsinghua University.

(ii)leadership training, elective courses, Chinese cultural immersion, mentorship, language instruction, and internship opportunities in Beijing.

Scholarship Deadline

For U.S. and global candidates, the application opens in April and closes in September, with interviews in October or November. Successful applicants start the program in August the following year. For Chinese applicants, the application period runs from January to May, with interviews conducted in October and November.
