Research Assistant (RA) - Translational Vectorology Research Unit (TVRU)

Salary

$73,000 to $81,000 per year

Required Qualification

(i) Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent

(ii) Over 2 years of experience in molecular biology and mammalian tissue culture techniques

(iii) Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail

(iv) Willingness to learn new protocols and techniques

(v) Hands-on experience with viral vectors, mammalian cell cultures, and stem cell cultures

(vi) Experience with animal models is advantageous but not mandatory

(vii) Proficiency in both PC and MAC operating systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Duties and Responsibilities

(i) Design, clone, produce, purify, and utilize recombinant and replication-competent viral vectors such as adeno-associated viral vectors (AAV) and lentiviral vectors (LVV).

(ii) Maintain and manipulate a variety of mammalian cell types, including immortalized and pluripotent cells, and perform cell differentiation and characterization under BSL2/2+ conditions.
