Job Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – Obstetrics/Medical/Surgical (Training Opportunity)

Salary

CAD $41.42 to $55.91 per hour

Required Qualification

(I) Active registration as a Registered Nurse

(ii) Approximately two years of recent acute medical/surgical nursing experience (preferred for training eligibility)

(iii) Preference for candidates with high-acuity training

(iv) Willingness to complete the BCIT Perinatal Nursing Specialty Program (theory and practicum components)

(v) Commitment to remain employed in the relevant nursing department at Vancouver Coastal Health for at least 18 months after completing the training

(vi) Resume and cover letter required for application

Duties and Responsibilities

(i) Deliver specialized perinatal care, including comprehensive assessments of patients and fetuses

(ii) Provide nursing support to other medical and surgical patients as needed

(iii) Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

(iv) Enhance patient and family experiences by focusing on quality of care

(v) Engage in ongoing learning to maintain and improve clinical skills

(vi) Contribute to hospital initiatives by joining committees or participating in approved research projects
