PhD Studentship in Data-Driven Simulation of multi-phase flow

The PhD studentship is hosted by the Department of Engineering at the University of Exeter, specifically under the supervision of Dr. Xu Chu, a Senior Lecturer in Data Centric Engineering.

Eligibility Criteria

(i) Applicants must hold a first or upper second-class honours degree (or an equivalent qualification) in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.

(ii) Proficiency in programming (especially Python and high-performance computing) and strong mathematical skills are required

(iii) Experience in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and/or machine learning is highly desirable. For non-native English speakers, meeting the university's English language requirements is mandatory.

Benefits

The studentship is fully funded for three years, covering UK tuition fees and providing an annual stipend of £19,237.
