The PhD Scholarship for AHPRA-Registered Dentists in Sleep Health is offered by the College of Medicine and Public Health at Flinders University.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:

(i) Hold current AHPRA dental registration with an interest in sleep-specific dentistry and the management of sleep disorders.

(ii) Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident, or hold (or be eligible to apply for) a relevant international visa.

(iii) Meet the PhD admission requirements at Flinders University, which include having an Australian Honours degree (Class 1 or 2A) or an equivalent qualification (minimum AQF Level 8), or demonstrate equivalent research experience, such as refereed publications or significant experience as a lead researcher.

(iv) Be prepared to commence studies within a timeframe specified by the Office of Graduate Research, up to a maximum of 3 months from scholarship acceptance.

(v) Be willing to undergo a National Police Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, and complete Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN)-EC Training.

(vi) Intend to enroll as a full-time student at Flinders University.
