Nova Scotia Graduate Scholarship

Scholarship Host

The Nova Scotia Graduate Scholarship (NSGS) is hosted by Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Graduate Studies.

Eligibility Criteria

(i) Open to both Canadian and international students.

(ii) Applicants must not have started their thesis-based master’s program before December 31 of the competition year.

(iii) Research must align with one or more of Nova Scotia’s priority research areas, including ocean science, ICT, clean technology, financial services, life sciences, aerospace & defense, health & wellness, resource sector, and social innovation.

(iv) Special consideration is given to African Nova Scotian and Mi’kmaq applicants, who may have extended application opportunities.

Benefits

(i) Scholarship value: $10,000 per year, renewable for up to two years.

(ii) Supports research in innovative and high-priority fields within Nova Scotia.
