This PhD scholarship is hosted by Griffith University, focusing on a multidisciplinary project to assess the ecological and environmental benefits and drawbacks of constructed mangrove wetlands in Southeast Queensland, Australia. The project involves collaboration with industry, government, and local councils.

Eligibility Criteria

(i) Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree with first-class honors or a master’s degree with a significant research component. Experience in mangrove ecology, biogeochemistry, and data analysis is essential.

(ii) Candidates must be proficient in English, both written and spoken, and be able to work collaboratively and independently in field and laboratory settings.

(iii) International applicants must meet English language proficiency requirements, such as a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent TOEFL scores.

Benefits

The scholarship offers an annual stipend of $33,480 (indexed) for up to three years of full-time study. International candidates will also receive a Griffith University International Postgraduate Research Scholarship to cover tuition fees.
