Scholarship Host

The International Development Department (IDD) at the University of Birmingham, in collaboration with the Mo Ibrahim Foundation, offers a scholarship for the MSc in Development Policy and Politics.

Eligibility Criteria

(i) A first-class honours degree (or equivalent) from a recognized university.

(ii) Candidates must be under 30 years of age at the time of application.

(iii) Proficiency in English: Minimum IELTS score of 6.5 or TOEFL score of 580/93 (for non-native English speakers).

(iv) Must be an African national and a permanent resident in an African country, with preference given to candidates from Sub-Saharan Africa.

Benefits

(i) Full tuition coverage for the MSc program.

(ii) Round-trip airfare to and from the UK, including a visa.

(iii) Monthly stipend of £950 for 18 months.

(iv) Arrival allowance of £950.

(v) Internship funding: The Mo Ibrahim Foundation will directly cover expenses for the final six-month internship.
