Mechanical Engineer

Salary

$85,000 – $95,000 per year plus superannuation

Required Qualification

(i) Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.

(ii) Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer or in a related role.

(iii) Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

(iv) Experience with metal fabrication machinery and technologies is highly regarded.

(v) Strong written and verbal communication skills.

(vi) Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

(vii) Self-motivated, positive attitude, and able to work under pressure.

(vii) Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

(i) Analyze machinery, plant, and equipment designs to develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the production team.

(ii)Assemble and set up new machinery, plant, and equipment.

(iii) Train staff on the implementation of SOPs.

(iv) Establish installation and maintenance standards and policies in line with engineering principles and safety regulations.

(v) Interpret specifications, plans, and drawings to determine project requirements.

(vi) Analyze operational data, production schedules, and costs to identify areas for process improvement.

(vii) Design and modify machinery, plant, and equipment to optimize efficiency and ensure safety.

(viii) Develop and test machinery or its components.

(ix) Draft and design prefab cages, prefab columns, and other parts using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

(x) Perform stress analysis on columns to ensure compliance with Australian Standards.

(xi) Customize machinery based on user requirements and coordinate CAD model development for warehouse use.

(xii) Collaborate with the production team to meet customer deadlines.

(xiii)Create and oversee maintenance schedules for machinery, plant, and equipment.
