Manager, People and Culture

Salary

Approximately $250,000 per year

Required Qualification

(i) Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field.

(ii) Extensive senior leadership experience in HR within a medium-to-large organisation (1,000+ employees).

(iii) Strong knowledge of industrial relations, workforce planning, and organisational development.

(iv) Experience leading transformational change and driving people-focused strategies.

(v) Financial acumen to manage HR budgets effectively.

(vi) Familiarity with local government sector trends and challenges is desirable.

(vii) Must pass pre-employment background checks, including a National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, and Psychometric Assessment.

Duties and Responsibilities

(i) Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies that promote innovation, accountability, and workforce excellence.

(ii) Workforce Planning & Development: Oversee talent acquisition, leadership development, and succession planning to align with organisational goals.

(iii) Culture & Engagement: Foster a positive, inclusive work environment that enhances employee well-being and engagement.

(iv) Policy & Compliance: Ensure adherence to HR regulations, including industrial relations, workforce data reporting, and Fair Work standards.

(v) Operational Efficiency: Lead HR operations, including payroll, HR systems, and employee services, to enhance overall workforce effectiveness.

(vi) Data-Driven Decision-Making: Provide insights on workforce performance, culture, and leadership impact to guide executive strategies.

(vii) Change Management: Drive enterprise-wide transformational change and support leaders in implementing change initiatives.

(viii) Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external partners, including unions, government bodies, and executive leadership.
