Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Part-Time

Salary

Base Pay: Up to $38.50/hour plus $3.20/hour hazard pay (state-granted)

Sign-On Bonus: $6,000 for full-time positions and $3,000 for part-time roles

Required Qualifications

(i) A valid state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

(ii) CPR certification.

(iii) Preferred (but not required): One year of professional nursing experience in long-term care settings and knowledge of state nursing regulations.

(iv) Strong organizational and time management skills with basic computer knowledge.

(v) Ability to apply mathematical concepts like fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.

Duties and Responsibilities

(i) Assess residents' conditions, implement care plans, and maintain accurate records.

(ii) Conduct regular rounds to observe residents and evaluate their progress, symptoms, and treatment responses.

(iii) Provide various care services, including wound dressing changes, catheter irrigations, IV therapy, and other specialized treatments.

(iv) Manage medications, ensuring proper administration and adherence to relevant policies and physician prescriptions.

(v) Support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) with tasks such as feeding, bathing, and mobility assistance.

(vi) Oversee new admissions, re-admissions, and room transfers, ensuring all supplies and equipment are prepared.

(vii) Monitor incidents and infection rates, proposing corrective actions as needed.

(viii) Maintain communication with physicians, residents, families, and administrative personnel regarding changes in treatment plans or resident conditions.
