Griffith University, Australia, offers a fully-funded PhD scholarship to study the structural plasticity of viral capsids, focusing on both native and engineered viral proteins.

Eligibility Criteria

(i) Open to domestic and international students.

(ii) Applicants must have completed, or expect to complete, a bachelor's degree with honors or a master's degree with a significant research component.

(iii) Preferred backgrounds include virology, structural biology, protein engineering, or recombinant protein expression and purification.

(iv) International applicants must meet English language proficiency requirements, such as a minimum IELTS score of 6.5, or equivalent TOEFL scores.

Benefits

(i) Annual stipend of $33,480 (indexed) for up to three years of full-time study.

(ii) International applicants may receive a Griffith University International Postgraduate Research Scholarship covering tuition fees for up to three years.

(iii) Access to cutting-edge research techniques like cryo-electron microscopy and charge detection mass spectrometry, along with training in advanced virology and protein engineering.
