International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship 2025

The International Undergraduate Scholarship 2025 is offered by the University of Sheffield to support new international students beginning their undergraduate studies in September 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

(i) Applicants must start their undergraduate degree at the University of Sheffield in September 2025.

(ii) The scholarship applies to all undergraduate programs except Medicine (A100/A101) and Dentistry (A200).

(iii) Candidates must select the University of Sheffield as their firm or insurance choice by 4:00 PM (UK time) on June 4, 2025.

(iv) Students must be classified as overseas for tuition fee purposes and be self-funded (not sponsored by an external organization).

(v) The scholarship is available for full-time and part-time students, but not for online or distance learning programs.

(vi) To maintain the scholarship in subsequent years, students must achieve at least 60% weighted mean grade (wmg) and complete a minimum of 120 credits in the previous academic year.

(vii) The award cannot be combined with certain other University of Sheffield scholarships, but may be used alongside departmental or faculty scholarships, provided the student does not become a sponsored student.

Benefits

(i) The scholarship provides a tuition fee reduction of £2,000 per year for students in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and Faculty of Social Sciences.

(ii) Students in the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Health, and Faculty of Science receive £2,500 per year.

(iii) The total scholarship amount can be up to £7,500 for three-year programs and £10,000 for four-year programs.

(iv) The scholarship is automatically applied and does not require a separate application.

(v) It is renewable each academic year, subject to meeting the required academic performance.
