International fellowship program

Scholarship Host

The International Fellowships are provided by the American Association of University Women (AAUW), supporting women pursuing full-time graduate or postdoctoral studies in the United States.

Eligibility Criteria

(i) Open to women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

(ii) Applicants must hold a degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree and plan to return to their home country for a professional career.

(iii) Must have applied to an accredited institution by the application deadline.

(iv) Proficiency in English is required, demonstrated by specific tests or other acceptable documentation.

(v) Special consideration is given to applicants from developing countries and those who demonstrate commitment to the advancement of women and girls.

Benefits

(i) Master’s/first professional degree: $20,000

(ii) Doctoral degree: $25,000

(iii) Postdoctoral study: $50,000

Funds can be used for educational and living expenses, dependent care, and travel to professional meetings.

Scholarship Deadline

(i) Application opens: September 3, 2024

(ii) Deadline for submission: November 15, 2024

(iii) Fellowship year: July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026
