Estonia Government Scholarships 2025

Scholarship Host

Estonian Ministry of Education and Research in collaboration with the Education and Youth Board. Scholarships are offered through the Estonian Scholarship Programme under international cooperation agreements.

Eligibility Criteria

(i) Summer/Winter School Scholarships: Open to international bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral students who have completed at least one year of studies at their home university.

(ii) Grants for Researchers and Academic Staff: Applicants must hold an academic position (e.g., professor, lecturer, researcher) at a university outside Estonia. Postdoctoral research is not funded under this program.

(iii) Available for international students aiming to study in Estonia in the 2025/2026 academic year.

(iv) Master's and doctoral students from all fields can apply.

Benefits

(i) Covers participation in short-term academic programs (1–4 weeks) including language, IT, media, international relations, etc.

(ii) May include support for online course participation fees.

(iii) Grants for Researchers and Academic Staff:

(iv) Funding to support academic work (teaching, research, collaboration) at Estonian higher education institutions.
