Salary

$63,666 – $69,000 per year

Required Qualification

(i) Completed tertiary education (TAFE or Bachelor’s degree) or equivalent experience in a clinical laboratory or production setting.

(ii) Strong organizational skills, initiative, and ability to prioritize tasks.

(iii) Proficient in written and verbal communication, with excellent document-keeping practices.

(iv) Good troubleshooting abilities and capability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

(v) Familiarity with database management and Microsoft Office.

(vi) A current WA driver’s license.

Duties and Responsibilities

(i) Receive and inspect femoral head donations for banking.

(ii) and manufacture donor tissue into various allograft types in cleanroom facilities.

(iii) Perform post-manufacturing tasks, including cleanroom cleaning, instrument decontamination, and specimen dispatch for testing.

(iv) Liaise with DonateLife to screen potential cadaveric donors.

(v) Coordinate and perform surgical tissue retrieval from cadaveric donors in operating theatres or mortuaries.

(vi) Review, interpret, and file documentation related to donation and manufacturing sessions.

(vii) Participate in an on-call roster for after-hours tissue retrieval and graft preparation.

(viii) Maintain production stock, perform graft stocktakes, and clean equipment.
