Job Position

Electrical Fitter Mechanic, Linesperson, or Live Line Linesperson at Ergon Energy Network, part of the Energy Queensland Group.

Salary

Between $108,859 and $122,229 per year, plus 14.75% superannuation and a locality allowance of up to $2,464 per year. Relocation assistance of up to $10,000 is also available.

Required Qualification

(i) Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certificate of Competency as an Electrical Fitter Mechanic or Linesperson.

(ii) Knowledge of electricity distribution/transmission systems and electrical network construction and maintenance.

(iii) Familiarity with the Electricity Act, Workplace Health & Safety Act, and related regulations.

(iv) Open ‘C’ class Driver's License.

(v) Availability for emergency work and occasional travel.

(vi) Must pass a pre-employment medical examination.

Duties and Responsibilities

(i) Electrical Fitter Mechanic: Install, repair, commission, and maintain electrical equipment and plant.

(ii) Linesperson/Live Line Linesperson: Construct, maintain, and repair overhead, high-voltage, and low-voltage electrical distribution and sub-transmission systems, street lighting, and customer service lines. Perform live line work on Energy Queensland networks.
