Development Engineer

Salary

$94,528 – $107,589 per year + 15.25% superannuation

Required Qualification

(I) Strong collaboration skills to work effectively within and across teams

(ii) Ability to assess and analyze technical data and documentation to produce reports

(iii) Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities

(iv) Expertise in providing high-level technical guidance to various stakeholders in the development sector

(v) In-depth knowledge of engineering and municipal legislation, policies, and standards

Duties and Responsibilities

(i) Evaluate and oversee complex development proposals and planning applications, ensuring compliance with statutory and strategic growth objectives

(ii) Assess the impact of developments on infrastructure and traffic, recommending necessary modifications or enhancements

(iii) Offer technical advice on transport, traffic, and urban growth planning to internal teams, developers, and external stakeholders, while mentoring team members in these areas

(iv) Address public inquiries and stakeholder concerns, balancing diverse interests to achieve effective transport and traffic solutions

(v) Review engineering design plans for adherence to safety, permit conditions, and regulatory standards, working with consultants to secure approvals

(vi) Collaborate with the Team Leader to refine policies, standards, and procedures based on best practices, stakeholder feedback, and legislative updates
