Building Inspector / Assistant Building Surveyor

Job Position

Building Inspector / Assistant Building Surveyor at Maroondah City Council.

Salary

$98,667 annually plus superannuation and a 19-day work month.

Required Qualifications

(i) Minimum registration as a Building Inspector (Limited).

(ii) Experience and understanding of Victorian building legislation.

(iii) Strong organizational and communication skills.

(iv) Ability to provide technical support and work collaboratively with other council areas and the community.

Duties and Responsibilities

(i) Conduct site inspections to ensure buildings comply with building permits.

(ii) Perform site investigations to assess building works and structural conditions for the council's building enforcement program.

(iii) Assist in maintaining the swimming pool and spa barrier Safety Register and the Essential Safety Measures program.

(iv) Manage the preparation of Notices, Orders, Infringement Notices, and Certificates of Compliance.

(v) Provide a high level of service delivery for both internal and external customers of the council’s Building Services functions, including offering technical information.
