Scholarship Host

The University of Sheffield, in partnership with the Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust and the Sheffield Institute for International Development.

Eligibility Criteria

(i) Must have an offer for one of the eligible master's programs at the University of Sheffield for the 2025-26 academic year.

(ii) Must be classified as an overseas student for tuition purposes.

(iii) Should not hold a qualification equivalent to or higher than the applied course.

(iv) Must not have previously studied outside their home country.

(v) Should be self-funded, without financial support from any research council, government, private enterprise, or charity.

(vi) Cannot combine this scholarship with any other funding from the University of Sheffield or external sources.

(vii) Must enroll as a full-time student starting in September 2025.

(viii) Must successfully meet all admission conditions and obtain a study visa.

(ix) Must be a national or permanent resident of a country classified as low or lower-middle-income by the World Bank in 2025.

Benefits

(i) Full waiver of tuition fees.

(ii) A maintenance stipend of £12,500 to support living expenses.
